I wrote this, especially, for my highly talented cousin Hamid Navim, an award winning master animator, who plays a mean santour - he had a twelve string one made so we could jam in different keys.

Our homelands (Arab, R)

The falling leaves
They know my pain
The falling leaves
They share our fate

The skies above
They hear our cries
The earth below
It bears our sins

Somebody I don’t know
Is watching me
And I know
What it is they seek

They search and search
So hard to find
And what they don’t
Becomes reality

They prepare and prepare
On earth, air and sea
Pour their poisons out
With perfect ease

Whilst we stand
Stunned with disbelief
Our words of unease
But feathers in gale force winds
Our words of unease
But feathers in gale force winds
